Hi, I'm Alesia R.

Pill cam eventually found my bleed. Turned out too be Wray get caked an abrasion. There is a deeper scope called enteroscopy if it ous appropriate for your case. Determined you be too high risk for me.

Hi I'm Brandy

I’ve had lower HGB for most of my life but in 2016 had two, very painful fast bleeds which sent me to the ER. Multiple colonoscopies and endoscopies found nothing but after my iron stores dropped to close to zero I had a capsule endoscopy. They found 23 AVMs (arterio-venous malformations) in my small bowel and jejenum. An AVM is a mess of malformed blood vessels typically found in the brain. Whether they’re in the small bowel or brain they can cause periodic bleeding. An AVM is something you’re born with and generally becomes symptomatic in middle age which is when my started causing issues. I’ve had two iron infusions. I felt great after the first and had so much energy, but got really sick after the second with severe nausea, vomiting and weakness. It took about 6 months to start feeling well again. I was fine for 18 months and now am having issues again with low HGB, feeling cold and weakness.
