Keep the faith. You never do know what will work to help you and what avenue you’ll go down. We’re all here to help you. Let us know what we can do to make your journey easier. We all know what it means to hear “You have Cancer.” And a diagnosis is just that. It does not define who you are. Please remember that. Contact me anytime.
Hi, I was recently diagnosed with stage 4 esophageal cancer. Have had only one chemo session so far, doing FolFox regime to start. I trust the doctors but I believe in Jesus Christ so I am putting as much of my faith into this journey as I can. Have read two great books, The Emperor of All Maladies and Radical Remissions. Also attending a support group at a local hospital tomorrow evening for individuals with esophageal cancer or in remission. You will be in my prayers and I hope we meet someday for a hug. Best to you and all trying to heal themselves.
I belong to a support group with monthly conference calls run by the New York City based Esophageal Cancer Esucation Doundation. Look them up at http://fightec.org/
They have a board that includes the top doctors in the nation. Contact the founder, Bert Frazzitta, if you’d like to be added to the monthly 6pm calls. I recommend them. After 3 years I have a recurrence unfortunately. But I’m treating it.
